    "You're dating him?!"
  • At first you were worried, then, Hana squealed and jumped into your arms. It made you laugh to say the least. Seeing your best friend happy was therapeutic. For a bit, you were worried that she'd still be a bit jealous or mad at you. But to see that she wasn't made your shoulders ease and your stress fade away. Well, not all of it. You were still a college kid after all.

"I'm amazed it took this long to be honest. I'm surprised you didn't slap him for borderline harassing you."
  • You
    You
"Uh, back up - he did harass me. I told him to stop calling me those stupid *ing names like 'princess' and he still did. And that's without mentioning how he kept trying to talk to me after I ended our little 'friendship'."
  • Hana
    Hana
"Then why did you forgive him?"
  • That was a question you asked yourself often. Jungkook truly was an *. Thinking back, when he told you 90% of the reason he wanted to speak with you was for personal gain with Hana, you were beyond *ed. You slammed the door in his face and planned on never talking to him again. That was the mature thing to do. End the friendship, cut off all ties, and tell Hana that he was ogling your ass. But then he kept up with it. While you wanted the drama to stop, that man decided to keep pestering you. So why did you forgive him?
  • You
    You
"To be honest, he apologized well. And he seemed genuine. I'm not the type to sob over some boy I've known for like two minutes. If I gave him a second chance and he ended up being a * again, then hey, at least I tried. If I didn't, then... well, none of this would've happened. Sometimes second chances are a good thing."

"What if he hurts you later?"
  • You
    You
"Well, that's the thing, Hana. You could hurt me tomorrow, and all our friendship could go away, but I still wouldn't regret it. Life is too short to let fear of being hurt hold us back. If you hurt me, I'd still have years and years worth of good memories to look back on, not to mention that if you hurt me, you taught me a valuable lesson. And maybe it'd give me trust issues and * me up a bit, but that's still a lesson that I probably had to learn. It's inevitable."

"Philosophy students. Are all of you this... stoic?"
  • You
    You
"Stoic? I'm only telling you how I feel about life. I go through it with myself in mind, not anyone else. I'm the protagonist, so I'm gonna treat it that way. I treat people kindly, I hope they be kind to me. If they aren't, I'm not gonna * and cry about it. I move on and go eat ice cream because I *ing deserve it."

    "Thanks bestie."
  • You nudged her side, the girl snickering at your antics. The two of you kept strolling down the park sidewalk together, the night sky hanging above you. The temperature was low but not so much that your skin had goosebumps, or the clothes you were wearing weren't thick enough to keep you warm. It was one of those nights where it didn't feel real. No one was around, and that astonished you. You had been here for an hour now, deciding to tell Hana about your big relationship near the river since it was gorgeous scenery. Didn't everyone come to the park at night? Wasn't the late-night park stroll the therapeutic way to figure out your life choices? Did all those romance movies lie to you?
  • You came here with Hana all the time, and normally there were people. Not today, apparently. But you weren't complaining, that meant more alone time for you and her. You could fangirl over your admiration of the bunny boy. A bunny boy that may be apart of your life for a long, long ti-

    Jimin
    "Are you kidding me?!"
  • The male voice had both you and Hana hopping. When you landed back on the concrete, you slouched on instinct. The male voice wasn't far, but far enough that whoever he was was out of sight. Silently, you and Hana agreed to move closer, using the several trees and dark sky as cover. By the time you got close enough, you recognized Jimin's voice, and what he said next had you stalling.

    Jimin
"Jungkook's gonna be *ed. This is the one thing you were supposed to handle. What the * is your problem, Tae?! You had one job! One job!"
  • Hearing a delicate, soft nerd (who made too many sex jokes) such as Jimin rage at Taehyung had your heart clenching. You peeked out from the tree and noticed Jimin was pacing back and forth, his hand running through his hair while his free one was holding a metal device to his ear.
  • Jimin
    Jimin
"Listen, you owe Jungkook, got it? We both do. He's saved our asses many times, and this * is getting old."
  • There was silence that stretched on far too long.
  • Jimin
    Jimin
"I don't care, Tae. You know the rules. We meet in the park, here, at this time, on this day, every week. There's no exceptions. Why aren't you here? Why?"
  • You dipped behind the bark of the tree again, shaking your head at Hana. What the hell was so important about meeting in the park that Jimin was yelling at Tae through a phone call? And how was Jungkook involved? Another thing - what did Jungkook do to save Jimin and Taehyung's asses? Okay, maybe the romance movies didn't fail you after all. This was all starting to unravel, and the more you learned about Jungkook and his friends, the more you wanted to know. Did that make you a bad person? This seemed personal, but here you were with Hana, eavesdropping. You just hoped it didn't involve you...
  • Jimin
    Jimin
"Taehyung, listen to me and listen to me very closely. Jungkook is trying to get rid of- no, shush for a moment, let me speak. Jungkook is trying to get rid of this, okay? The last thing he needs are reminders of what he's done. Stop making him feel like *, okay? It was an honest mistake, and he's trying to fix it."
  • More silence, Jimin making humming noises.
  • Jimin
    Jimin
"Tae. It wasn't his fault, get that through your mind. Jungkook can't be responsible for every little bad thing that happens in the world, got it?"
  • You attempted not to hyperventilate at the thought of Jungkook getting into trouble, but you kept your cool and remembered your breathing, Hana rubbing your shoulder to console you. It worked for the most part, but your eyes were still darting around the terrain of the park as if Jungkook would appear and comfort you too. But that never happened.
  • Jimin
    Jimin
"No, don't tell him about this. We have a way of handling problems, and stop worrying so much, you're stressing me out. You'll be compensated for the damage, and again, don't tell Namjoon. He's the last one we need meddled in Jungkook's mess. Let's do this ourselves, yeah? Together. Like we should. And Tae? Don't make the same mistakes Jungkook did, you're not as careful as him, you'll end up in jail."
  • The phone call ended, Jimin grumbling curses to himself before stalking away. You observed the whole process of him shoving his hands in his pockets, sauntering down the sidewalk of the park. You weren't overly concerned until Jimin mentioned jail. Jungkook did something illegal? Is that it? No no, Y/n, jumping to conclusions was bad. Maybe it was just weed or vandalism, not something serious. But Jungkook didn't smoke. Not cigarettes or vaping, anyway. Because of how addictive that * was, you would know. Maybe weed or God forbid something else like cocaine or heroin. But again, all that was addictive. How could he hide that from you...
  • Hana
    Hana
"What the hell was that about?"
  • It probably wasn't drugs, but it was an option to consider. And if it was an illegal activity Jungkook was doing - you hoped it was only weed and nothing else. Maybe his art got too ambitious and he spray-painted something. That seemed like a very Jungkook thing to do. Or maybe it was nothing at all. Ugh, thinking about it made your head hurt. But it didn't involve you. Jungkook would tell you when he was ready if it was so important, so no need to fret, right? With that in mind, you opened your mouth to speak.
